Within Temptation and Smash Into Pieces have come together for a new spine-tingling collaboration.
‘Somebody Like You’ finds both parties utilising their knack for penning a heart-fluttering melody, hitting the heady heights of the very best of European pop music. Though both are known for their more punishing output, the song feels right at home, with vocalists Chris Adam and Sharon Den Adel delivering astonishing performances.
It’s bombastic, beautiful and absolutely brilliant, the sort of song made for proposals, first dances and everything in between.
Sharon had this to say about it, stating, “We are excited and looking forward to release ‘Somebody Like You’ together with SMASH INTO PIECES. We have known each other for a long time and have been on tour together. This is the perfect song to also finally join forces. Adding an orchestra to this song felt like a small trip down memory lane for us, while at the same time blending perfectly with a more modern rock sound. We’re proud of what this song has become and grateful for the collaboration that brought it to life.”

The track follows another collaboration that Within Temptation delivered in 2025, ‘Sing Like A Siren’, featuring Ukrainian vocalist Jerry Heil, who you may recognise from competing at the Eurovision Song Contest.
