Yellowcard have teamed up with Avril Lavigne on nostalgic single ‘You Broke Me Too’, taken from their freshly dropped new album ‘Better Days’.

The band’s first album in almost a decade is out today via Better Noise Music, and was executive produced by Travis Barker.
Speaking on working with the band on ‘You Broke Me Too’, Avril has said:
“My friend Travis Barker called me up to say he was producing the new Yellowcard album and I really liked what I heard. When he played me ‘You Broke Me Too’ I liked how it can be an anthem people can relate to when finding hope after a relationship.”
Yellowcard vocalist Ryan Key has added:
“As with so many unbelievable things happening for the band these days, having Avril Lavigne be part of our new music is incredible. Her vocal performance combined with the classic Yellowcard feel of this song is truly a sonic time machine.”
Take a listen below:
To celebrate their first full-length since 2016’s self-titled album, Ryan talked us track by track through ‘Better Days’.
On ‘You Broke Me Too’, he told us:
“We knew we wanted to have a big monster ballad on this record, similar to a song like ‘Only One’, 20 plus years ago on ‘Ocean Avenue’, and ‘You Broke Me Too’ became that song. But never did we imagine that we would land a guest vocal feature from Avril Lavigne, who’s on this song. And I think it’s just another moment on this record that’s so special. It’s just a really, really cool and unique moment for Yellowcard.”
