Zeruel, one of the latest acts to join the Rise Records family, has announced the details of their debut full-length album.
Since releasing their first music in 2023, the last three years have seen Zeruel build an underground following within the ever-widening shoegaze community. Their last full release came in 2024 in the form of debut EP ‘Awakening’, which clearly pricked up the ears of those over at Rise. And if you were lucky enough to catch them opening for Deafheaven in the UK and Europe last year, you will have had the exact same reaction.
SO, to now. The new record will be called ‘RUIN; REBIRTH’ and will be released on June 19.

And a new taste of it is out in the world now, too, and that is ‘Limbo’. A beautifully paced and wonderfully dark slice of atmospheric tension, it serves as a deep look into the heart of the project. As tear-stained as it is tenacious, ethereal as it is enrapturing, it’s the sort of song that clings to you and refuses to let go. Every ebb and flow sinks deeper into your psyche.
Basically, it’s absolutely ace.
