The Dirty Nil Announce ‘Free Rein To Passions’ Deluxe Edition And Share New Single

The Dirty Nil are set to release a deluxe edition of their ‘Free Reins To Passion’ LP – and have shared a new single to mark the news.

The band’s latest album arrived last year and was the culmination of the Ontario band jamming away for months, with the aim of not overthinking, and completely rewiring the way they worked compared to their previous record, 2021’s ‘Fuck Art’.

To announce the news of the album’s deluxe edition, the band have shared new single ‘Am I The Menace?’, about which frontman Luke Bentham has shared:

“When we cut this one and our producer, John Goodmanson, heard my lyrics, he laughed and called me a brat.

“A semi-sincere self examination, compiled from observing others.”

Have a listen to the track below.

As well as the new track, the deluxe version of ‘Free Reins To Passion’ will also feature some of the band’s demos and a cover of Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’.

Today’s announcement comes ahead of the band’s co-headline tour of the EU and UK with Microwave, before various supporting dates with The Menzingers, The Gaslight Anthem and Frank Turner later in the year.
