Pushing The Pink Envelope

“We originally ghost wrote this song for Fall Out Boy but it didn’t have enough lyrics about car crashes or unrequited homoerotic feelings, so we added a couple of breakdowns to it and made it into a The Callous Daoboys song. The central breakdown – if counted in quarter note beats in morse code – reads out nuclear launch codes and if counted in 16th note triplets it spells out a bible verse. This is the craziest song we’ve ever written, we’ve never done something like this before. We tried not to take ourselves too seriously with this one, and we really pushed ourselves on this track. This is our heaviest yet, we really matured our sound with this song, and we think this is gonna be a gamechanger for the genre.”

Waco Jesus

“Isn’t it kinda crazy how much late 80’s Weird Al looked like David Koresh? That’s pretty much what this song is about when you read the lyrics. If you take the first letter of every word from this song, it doesn’t spell out anything different. This is the easiest The Callous Daoboys song to learn to play, I think, and I just learned what a guitar is last week.

Designer Shroud of Turin (feat. pulses)

“The long awaited, and much anticipated, first-ever rap verse on a The Callous Daoboys song has finally arrived. This song was written in a tiny bedroom of a two bedroom apartment where they make you walk your trash to the dumpster on the other side of the complex. Like, what am I even paying $2000/mo for if that’s not even included? Do you realize how tired I get after writing bounce riffs and catchy choruses? Our friends in pulses. are featured on the verse and made this reach cataclysmic heights.

The Callous Daoboys’ latest EP, ‘God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys’, is released this Friday, Oct 20th via MNRK.
