Blink-182 have just wrapped up the US arena dates of their reunion tour with Tom DeLonge and it has proven to be a huge success, becoming the highest grossing run of their career to date.
Billboard Boxscore reports that the North American leg saw them sell 504,000 tickets and gross $85.3 million dollars. Shows were grossing around $2.4 million dollars a night, around four and a half times their previous record, set during their 2009-2010 run.
The band also hit a new high in terms of attendance numbers, averaging 15,664 people per show, up 2% from their previous record.
Their reunion tour began with a surprise set at Coachella Festival back in April, appearing again during the event’s second weekend to headline the main stage as a replacement for Frank Ocean.
Blink-182 will hit the UK later this year for a run of arena shows before heading back to the US to headline When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas alongside Green Day.
