Empire State Bastard Drop Huge New Single ‘Moi?’

Empire State Bastard have released the fourth single from their upcoming debut album ‘Rivers of Heresy’.

Well, just when you thought the buzz around ESB’s forthcoming debut LP couldn’t be greater, they share brand-new track ‘Moi?’.

This riveting new track builds from a sparse opening into a ferocious headbanger, cranking up yet more anticipation for the release of ‘Rivers of Heresy’ on September 01.

It follows the release of debut single ‘Harvest’, ‘Stutter’ and ‘The Looming’ from the Simon Neil and Mike Vennart project.

ESB have previously been quite cryptic when talking about their releases to date, but on this, Simon Neil has explained the meaning of the tune, saying:

“‘Moi?’ is about people who just no matter what you talk about – and I’m guilty of this at points – will never ever see the truth, even if you dangle it in front of them.

“Ignorance can feel like a badge of honour these days, with people being stubborn and not being willing to enlighten themselves. I cannot believe we’ve got to the stage where that’s to be cherished.”

Last week, ESB announced a headline tour in support of ‘Rivers of Heresy’.

They’ll be joined by Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and bassist Naomi Macleod for the 10-date run of shows, which commences in Paris on November 02.
