Girlfriends Release Timely ‘Shut Up & Kiss Me’ Single

This Valentine’s Day, girlfriends have released a live-in-the-moment, pop-punk banger, ‘Shut Up & Kiss Me’.

The duo, consisting of Travis Mills and Nick Gross, pack their vital energy into the new track, which marks their first of the year.

The release comes ahead of their supporting run with Avril Lavigne for her ‘Greatest Hits Tour’, kicking off August 14.

Discussing the new track, girlfriends have shared how it reflects where they’re currently at, saying:

“‘Shut Up & Kiss Me’ is the epitome of what inspired us to make music to begin with.

“Fast, loud and fun. It’s about trusting your gut, taking a risk and wearing your heart on your sleeve while doing it.”

Girlfriends recently joined Verswire, the innovative VC label helmed by A&R Mark Hoppus, Pete Wentz and Sherry Saeedi.

With this platform, they’re set to launch more music this year, off the back of a successful 2023, which saw them sell out Los Angeles’ iconic Roxy and share stages with the likes of Machine Gun Kelly, Twenty One Pilots, The Used and Pierce the Veil.

Of their recent rise and what the message they hope to bring with their music, the band have further said:

“Never conform and never give up. In a world that is easily influenced to glorify the negative, we transform our pain into our purpose.

“To listen with an open mind, to love with a broken heart and to learn from our mistakes creating a future we can be proud of. No risk is too big, no dream is too small and nothing is off limits.”
