Lil Uzi Vert Covers System Of A Down’s ‘Chop Suey!’ On New Album

Lil Uzi Vert’s new album contains a number of surprises, including a cover of System Of A Down’s nu-metal classic ‘Chop Suey!’

The Philadelphia rapper dropped their long-awaited third studio album on Friday, June 30.

‘Pink Tape’ was something of a left-turn of an album, with the artist normally associated with rap, hip-hop and trap embracing rock.

The album features Bring Me The Horizon and Japanese outfit BABYMETAL.

What’s more, the track ‘CS’ on the album also covers System Of A Down’s signature tune ‘Chop Suey!’.

The track sees Lil Uzi Vert attempt the same frenetic pace as the original, with some added auto-tuned vocals.

Have a listen to ‘CS’ below.

For those who’ve been following Lil Uzi Vert closely in recent months, their fusion of rap and rock shouldn’t come as a major surprise.

Last month, they appeared on stage with Paramore to perform ‘Misery Business’ at New York’s Madison Square Garden. What’s more, as well as featuring Bring Me The Horizon on their latest album, they also featured in turn on the Sheffield band’s recent single ‘AmEN’, which also features Glassjaw’s Daryl Palumbo.
