SOFT PLAY, formerly known as Slaves, have marked their long-awaited return to music with new single ‘Punk’s Dead’.

The new track has been released along with news of the punk-rock duo’s surprise slots at Reading & Leeds festivals this coming weekend.

They’ll take on the Festival Republic Stage at Reading on Saturday, August 26 and the same stage at Leeds on Sunday, August 27.

After a fairly lengthy, unexpected hiatus, the band comprised of Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman announced last year they would be resuming their music, under the moniker of SOFT PLAY.

Rather than tiptoe around the subject, their latest release embraces that decision head-on – and even features pop icon Robbie Williams to help deliver the message.

Have a listen to the new track below.

Having already headlined 2000 Trees earlier this year, SOFT PLAY are also set to embark on the road with The Prodigy later this year, as part of their ‘Army of the Ants’ UK tour.
