Twenty One Pilots appear even more like that they’re on the brink of launching a new era, with a new post captioned: “Next week, a new era begins.”
The new, four-minute teaser video is also captioned as “a look back on how we got here” and sees Tyler relay a legendary tale that begins:
“I am trapped, stuck in a cycle I have never been able to break. I want to believe this is the last time, but I don’t know for sure.”
It arrives after cryptic teasers appeared in recent days, with some fans – believed to be 1,500 of them in total – receiving letters from the Sacred Municipality of Dema, and billboards popping up around the world mentioning Clancy (both of which are throwbacks to the band’s 2018 album ‘Trench’).
Some fans even spotted that their album artwork has been updated on streaming sites, with strips of red tape now appearing across parts of their album covers.
These hints of a new era arrive three years on from the release of ‘Scaled And Icy’.
