Green Day continued their run of surprise shows in small venues last night (November 09), performing inside a pub.
The band took over The Marquis in central London for an acoustic set, livestreamed to the rest of the world via their Instagram account. Opening with ‘Welcome To Paradise’, the setlist included the likes of ‘Letterbomb’, ‘All By Myself’, ‘Warning’ and the first performance of ‘Walking Contradiction’ since 2001. Plus, they also played their two recent singles, ‘The American Dream Is Killing Me’ and ‘Look Ma, No Brains!’, both taken from their upcoming album ‘Saviors’.

In a message to fans on social media, the band wrote “London, what a night!!! We’re going to remember that one for a long long time. Thank you to The Marquis Covent Garden for having us and to the handful of you that got to witness it. Excited to see more of your faces tonight at Electric Ballroom and even way more of your faces on The Saviors Tour next summer!”
Green Day will perform another intimate show tonight (November 10) at London’s Electric Ballroom venue.
Their ‘Saviors’ 2024 world tour is also on sale today at 9am GMT. They will return to the UK next June for stadium dates in Manchester, Glasgow and London and to headline Isle Of Wight Festival alongside The Prodigy and Pet Shop Boys.
