Taken from their 2022 debut album ‘Congregation’, the Manchester band have invited Glasgow’s VLURE to inject the record’s opening track with their signature heavy rave-laced punk and trance.

Ripping up the sonic rulebook whilst smashing together the sounds of both projects, listen to the remixed version of ‘Blessed Be Thy’ below:

Speaking on the remixed track, Witch Fever vocalist Amy Walpole shares:

We knew we wanted VLURE to do this remix because we were really keen to get a Blade Blood Rave vibe! ‘Blessed Be Thy’ is super doomy and heavy at its core so it’s so cool to see how they pulled it apart and put it back together again in such an exciting way. ‘Blessed Be Thy’ is one of our favourite tracks on the album and we love that it has a new lease of life for everyone to enjoy! It celebrates the song and gives new meaning, new anger, and new emotion to it.

VLURE’s Conor Goldie – who handled guitars and production on the track – has also added,

When Witch Fever reached out to us to remix one of their tracks it was a no brainer. I’m a big fan. They’re a terrifyingly intense live band, so it felt fitting to keep the mix aggressive and confrontational whilst giving it the full VLURE treatment. I re-sampled the live drums and re-sequenced different rhythms (will happily die in the pursuit of the perfect breakbeat), grain stretched and scattered Amy’s vocal stem & reworked the live guitar and bass into piercing arps. I wanted this to sound at home on the dance floor, and in the pit. Some dunt.

Witch Fever are currently on tour across the UK with fellow Manchester noise-makers Hot Milk.
