Ahead of their appearance at this years Reading & Leeds Festivals, ZAND has announced their new EP, ‘SEWERSTAR’, alongside UK tour dates.
‘SEWERSTAR’ is set for release on September 07, with ZAND sharing another taster of what to expect with new single, ‘Deliverance’.
Here’s what they had to say about the latest track:
“Deliverance sees the narrator caught in a maniacal spiral into depravity, hellbent on retribution. A satirical chronicle exploring the dynamics and consequences of of exploitation, paranoia, stalking and reactive abuse. ‘Fuck around and find out’ Sonically, Deliverance is inspired heavily by the theatrically laced emo and nu-metal bands I listened to in my teens, like My Chemical Romance, System Of A Down, The Used etc. The dark cabaret/polka elements were undeniably influenced by bands like The Dresden Dolls, and even film scores like Danny Elfman’s work in The Nightmare Before Christmas had a hand in its birth. Instrumentally I’m harnessing these showy elements and multiple BPM changes to represent the histrionic build up of the story along with the upwards unravelling of its narrator, towards its inevitable climax.”

‘SEWERSTAR’ will also feature previously released singles ‘Battery Acid’, ‘Religion’, and ‘I Spit On Your Grave’, as well as the explosive ‘DTF’ which you can listen to below:
