Queens Of The Stone Age have today announced their UK and European tour, ‘The End Is Nero’, set to take place throughout November.
Kicking-off at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on November 04, the tour will follow the release of the band’s forthcoming eighth studio album, ‘In Times New Roman…’, which is due June 16.
With dates in Paris, Berlin, Manchester and London’s O2, to name a few, ‘The End Is Nero Tour’ is being billed as a tour to celebrate the end of the world, which the band have deemed is “in a month or two”.
Main support on all dates comes from The Chats and deep tan.
And staying with the nihilistic theme, the band have today released the official music video for ‘Carnavoyer’, which features a matador, the grim reaper and a cameo from the band’s frontman, Joshua Homme. Have a watch below.
Today’s tour announcement comes ahead of Queens’ headline slot at Glastonbury’s The Other Stage on Sunday June 25.
Queens’ Glasto show will be the pinnacle of a run of UK shows for the band, which will also include dates at Halifax The Piece Hall (Tuesday June 20), Margate Dreamland (Thursday June 22) and Cardiff Castle (Friday June 23).
All these shows sold-out immediately upon announcement last month and will mark the first the band are playing on British soil since their headline show at Finsbury Park in 2018.
Anyone who’s missed an opportunity to catch Queens at these dates will be able to see them later in the year at their ‘The End Is Nero Tour’.
Fan pre-sale starts today at 10am (BST) with public on-sale available from 10am the following Friday, June 16 – see the band’s site for more information and to buy tickets.
