100 Gecs To Co-Headline Unsilent Night Festival

100 Gecs have been announced as one of the co-headline acts for Unsilent Night Festival.

100 Gecs

The Dallas, Texas-based festival will be taking place at the Curtis Culwell Center on December 09.

100 Gecs – which consists of Dylan Brady and Laura Les – will so far be joined by rapper Yung Gravy on the line-up, with more acts to be announced at a later stage.

Speaking of having the hyperpop duo on the line-up, the festival’s founder Mike Ziemer said:

“When the world was shut down in 2020 and most of 2021, we needed music the most.

“Since we couldn’t attend live concerts, we spent the entire time discovering new music and keeping an eye on who was making the most noise.

“My business partner Orlando and I decided that the goal moving forward with Unsilent Night would be to put all these artists on the festival and end the year on a high note.

“Most of the artists you’ll see and songs you’ll hear on the stage for this event are much more poppy and upbeat fun songs.”

Seeing 100 Gecs playing live again will be something of a welcome relief for fans after the pair were forced to cancel their UK and European tour in support of their terrific second album ‘10,000 Gecs’.

Initially, their cancellation came as an abrupt surprise but it soon transpired they were rightly prioritising their wellbeing, writing in a statement:

“To our fans in Europe: we’re sorry to cancel our upcoming shows, but we’re physically and mentally worn out. We’ll be back soon.”
