Alienist Sign To UNFD And Share Ferocious New Single ‘Prisoner Of You’

Alienist have announced their signing to UNFD via new single ‘Prisoner Of You’.

The metalcore band’s new track is a fiery commentary on a toxic relationship, and marks an explosive start from their new label.

‘Prisoner Of You’ also arrives with a video that captures the track’s raw energy – have a watch and a listen to it below.

Discussing their signing to UNFD, the five-piece from Wollongong, Australia, have shared:

“We are beyond excited to start this journey with UNFD.”

“We have all grown up idolising bands from this label and to now be a part of it is absolutely surreal!”

And explaining their new track, too, the band have gone on to say:

“‘Prisoner Of You’ is an analysis of a toxic and abusive relationship and how it can feel to be in that situation with no escape in sight, to be a prisoner.

“It comes from an angry perspective towards the abusive person that has attempted to destroy us emotionally or physically and the realisation of how terrible an individual that commits those acts towards someone is.

“It hopefully serves as a reminder to people that these situations are not okay and to seek help and support if they feel like they’re in a toxic or abusive relationship.”

Alienist, named after an old term for psychiatry, released their debut single ‘Social Faker’ in 2019 and have since gone on to perform alongside the likes of Thy Art Is Murder, Ocean Grove and Fit For An Autopsy.

Their new label home represents something of a new era for the band and will no doubt see them push onto new heights.
