Accused Thief Falls Five Storeys From Hotel After Stealing From We Came As Romans

A man accused of stealing from We Came As Romans in Adelaide fell five storeys from the hotel building he was trying to flee from.

The suspect is said to have broken into the room at the Oaks Adelaide Embassy, which the US metalcore band were staying in, whilst guitarist Josh Moore was inside. The man then entered and stole a number of Moore’s belongings, including his passport.

He is then reported to have barricaded himself in, locked the guitarist out and then jumped from the window of the fifth floor.

Remarkably, he survived the fall and was conscious and breathing when local tradesmen and the band members reached him.

He was said to be on the phone to paramedics, who quickly arrived along with police.

We Came As Romans are currently in the midst of a number of Australia shows, in their first tour of the country since 2015.

The visit is in support of their most recent album ‘Darkbloom’, which arrived in October last year. Writing on Twitter (‘X’) about the recent encounter, the band wrote: “Australia has been amazing! We unfortunately had an odd run in Adelaide this morning. Thankfully, we are all ok.”

As it stands, We Came As Romans have three more dates in Australia before flying over to The States for their ‘Darkbloom II Tour’ – see the full dates via the band’s site.
