Blind Channel Release New Single And Video For ‘Happy Doomsday’

Blind Channel have released new single ‘Happy Doomsday’.

The new track follows the release of the band’s single ‘Flatline’ in February, which arrived amid intense touring activities from the band across the UK and Europe, and included support slots for I Prevail and Electric Callboy.

Have a listen to ‘Happy Doomsday’ via its brand-new video below.

Explaining how the new track captures a feeling no doubt many of us have felt in reason years, vocalist Nico Vilhelm Moilanen has said:

“Whilst we were writing this song, it was a time of continuous bad news for us. Every day felt like another end of the world, which turned into a joke in the studio: ‘Happy Doomsday to you’.”

“Frustrated, we noticed that panic only leads to more panic and wrote this song as an alternative, to sit back and enjoy the ride until all the hardships turn to yesterday’s news.”

“The song gave us a good time, and we hope it can give that to others as well!”

The band will perform live in the UK this June as part of the lineup of Download Festival’s 20th anniversary event.

We caught up with the band last year to talk through recent album ‘Lifestyles Of The Sick & Dangerous’ as well as the impact of performing ‘Dark Side’ as part of the Eurovision Song Contest.
