Blink-182 Are Playing Coachella This Weekend

The band have been added to the lineup for this Friday (April 14)

Blink-182 are set to kick off their highly anticipated reunion tour with Tom DeLonge a little earlier than expected…

The band have been added at the last minute to the lineup for Coachella, appearing at the festival this Friday (April 14) with a set in the Sahara Tent at 6.45pm local time.

They join other rock acts on the lineup like Yungblud and The Linda Lindas as well as headliners Blackpink, Bad Bunny and Frank Ocean.

Tom DeLonge also confirmed the news himself via his own Twitter account:

This will mark the first live appearance together of DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker since 2014.

And if you can’t make it along this weekend, don’t panic – all stages will be livestreamed on the Coachella YouTube channel which you will be able to watch right here.

Rumours had been spreading that the band might play a surprise set when Hoppus posted a Coachella playlist on Apple Music on Monday (April 10) featuring all Blink songs, and opening with ‘Family Reunion’.

Could this give a hint at their setlist plans?

Blink announced their reunion last year, releasing the single ‘Edging’ which hit No.1 on the US Alternative Airplay chart and was their first UK top 40 single in 17 years.

A new album is on the way, with DeLonge previously referring to it as “the best we’ve ever made”. You can see some of the studio updates from the group in the news update video below:

Blink will hit the UK as part of their reunion tour, with dates lined up in Glasgow, London, Birmingham and Manchester.
