Casey Drop Powerful New Single ‘Puncture Wounds To Heaven’

Post-hardcore band Casey have released their mammoth new single ‘Puncture Wounds to Heaven’.

The track is the first glimpse of the Welsh band’s third studio album, and arrives on the eve of their first ever US headline tour.

Describing what the new track is about, vocalist Tom Weaver has commented:

“‘Puncture Wounds to Heaven’ centres around the themes of apathy and the guilt that can arise as a result.

“The ‘coming up for air’ sensation as you briefly snap out of a depressive episode, and survey how life has progressed around you.

“This is a core theme that carries throughout the new record, and musically the dichotomy between the smooth verses and the chaotic middle 8 really demonstrated that in a visceral way for us.”

The band’s US tour kicks-off at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts tomorrow, September 19.

Casey will also soon be supporting Funeral For A Friend with Dashboard Confessional at London’s Roundhouse on October 15.

The new single follows the quintet’s return in 2023 – a reunion you can read all about here – which has already consisted of seven mammoth shows in the UK and Germany, and the limited release of their 7” ‘Atone/Great Grief’ via Hassle Records.
