Chelsea Wolfe has shared details of her forthcoming album, ‘She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She’.
Wolfe’s seventh studio album is set for release on February 09 via Loma Vista.
To mark the news, Wolfe has shared a video for brand-new single ‘Whispers In The Echo Chamber’ – have a watch and a listen to the powerful new track below.
As Wolfe has explained about the new project:
“It’s a record about the past self reaching out to the present self reaching out to the future self to summon change, growth, and guidance.
“It’s a story of freeing yourself from situations and patterns that are holding you back in order to become self-empowered. It’s an invitation to step into your authenticity.”
‘She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She’ arrives as the result of writing and workshopping sessions with Wolfe’s longtime collaborators, multi-instrumentalist Ben Chisholm, drummer Jess Gowrie, and guitarist Bryan Tulao, before material was brought to producer Dave Andrew Sitek in early 2022.
The pieces found their final focus with Shawn Everett (whose prior credits include The War On Drugs, SZA and Yeah Yeah Yeahs) who mixed the album, extracting the finer details.
The record will also contain previously released single ‘Dusk’.
Discussing the accompanying video for ‘Whispers in the Echo Chamber’, which was directed by Geoge Gallardo Kattah and filmed in Colombia, Wolfe adds:
“This video feels like a love story between myself and my sleep paralysis entity, who, for the sake of this video, represents a calm inner voice cutting through mental chatter and anxiety to help guide me towards a more authentic path.
“From the inward to the outward, this entity shows me the expansiveness of new possibilities, if only I’ll take the first difficult steps.”
Next year, Wolfe will embark on a lengthy 2024 North American tour, bringing her acclaimed live performance to a number of cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and more.
The tour will close with a special show at London’s Heaven on Sunday April 21, 2024 – tickets can be found here.
