Creeper and Dinosaur Pile-Up have been announced as the first headline acts for Takedown Festival 2024.
Takedown Festival 2024 will take place at the Portsmouth Guildhall next year, and for the first time ever it’s set to span over two days: April 13 and 14.
Creeper will no doubt bring their fine stage theatrics, and have been announced following the recent release of their ‘Sanguivore’ album – more of which you can read about in our ‘The Album Story’ feature, with in-depth discussion with frontman William Von Ghould.
Alternative rock heavyweights Dinosaur Pile-Up are also on the top of the billing, with an impressive collection of names already announced, including Kid Bookie, BLACKGOLD, Dead Pony and more.
Tickets for Takedown Festival 2024 will go on sale at 9am Friday November 03 via the festival’s site.
Takedown returned this year after an eight year hiatus, the legendary festival made a comeback earlier this year, with headliners Sleep Token and Skindred.
Kai and Sarah Harris of Takedown Festival have said:
“We are really excited to announce today the first bands for the Takedown Festival 2024 line up! Now expanded to 2 days, 2024 will be the biggest Takedown Festival ever and we are determined to make it the best yet!
“We have been blown away by the support and feedback we have received since bringing back one of the best-loved events to the South Coast earlier this year, including three nominations in the UK Festival Awards, and we are delighted to see Takedown staking its place as one of the key rock festivals in the calendar.
“The line-up announced so far offers a great range of bands and we’ve got more exciting announcements to come!”
