There’s less than two months to go until this year’s Donington Park get-together, with a line-up that will see headline performances from Fall Out Boy, Avenged Sevenfold and Queens of the Stone Age, as well as sets from Enter Shikari, Sum 41 and Limp Bizkit.

And in case you weren’t tantalised enough, festival organisers have just announced the lineup for Download’s District X area.

Among the billing for District X, which will be open to Download weekend ticket holders from Wednesday June 12, are DJ sets from Busted’s Charlie Simpson, Sullivan King and Those Damn Crows.

There’ll also be a live acoustic performance from Bowling For Soup, as well as slots from Old Dirty Brasstards and Number Of The Beef.

Live comedy and podcasts, meanwhile, will come in the form of Andrew O’Neill’s History of Heavy Metal and Sappenin’ Podcast (with Alex Baker and Alyx Holcombe), to name a few.

The End Of The World Party will also be hosting their first ever alternative collaboration, where Download festival-goers can request all the songs they’d like to hear if it was their last day on Earth (there are few better ways to leave this mortal coil).

HE. SHE. THEY. and Mønster Queen will be collaborating to host an immersive industrial, goth, rave and drag performance experience for the first ever time at Download, and DJ collective She They Press Play will be there championing women and minority genders.

Elsewhere, Gem Precious presents the Rock Festival Rave, and the Silent Disco will host DJ battles featuring Rhinestone Rodeo, Y’Allternative, Fat Lip and many more.

And for the Mini Moshers, Slay Duggee will provide some kids’ entertainment via a heavy metal band for children, teaching them (safely) how to circle pit, mosh and more.
