The rumours were true – Foo Fighters were the surprise guests on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage earlier this evening (June 23).
The real identity of the band billed as The Churnups was quickly revealed as the logo on screen switched to the classic FF.

Opening with ‘All My Life’, the band’s hour-long set saw them mix classics like ‘Learn To Fly’ and ‘My Hero’ with cuts from latest, No.1 album ‘But Here We Are’, including ‘Show Me How’ alongside special guest Violet Grohl.
The band were watched on from the side of stage by Paul McCartney, who Dave Grohl performed with at Glastonbury 2022, and members of Guns ‘N’ Roses who will headline the event tomorrow night (June 24).

Foo Fighters will now head back to the US for a series of festival shows and headline dates including a slot at Chicago’s Riot Fest. As he left the Glastonbury stage, Dave Grohl promised that they would see their UK fans again “next summer”.
