Hot Mulligan have released the latest track from their forthcoming album ‘Why Would I Watch’.
‘Gans Media Retro Games’ follows last month’s release of ‘Shhh! Golf Is On’, and has been produced by the Michigan band’s longtime collaborator Brett Romnes.
Check out the wrestling-themed video for the new track, featuring a lovely little cameo from Dan Lambton, below:
Hot Mulligan vocalist Tades Sanville has explained the meaning of the new tune and described how it sits sonically in the band’s catalogue, saying:
“This song is about only seeing what I’m doing wrong. Seems like I drink and lose touch between what I’m saying and what I mean.
“Musically, this song has a cool little balancing act between distortion and that kinda ghost-y lead that I’m stoked about. It doesn’t really sound like something we’ve done before.”
‘Why Would I Watch’, the band’s fourth studio album, is set for release on 12 May via Wax Bodega and is the follow-up to 2020’s ‘you’ll be fine’.
