Polaris Release New Single And Video For ‘Nightmare’

Polaris have shared new single ‘Nightmare’ – the band’s first release since the sad passing of guitarist Ryan Siew.

Today’s release marks the second single from the band’s forthcoming album ‘Fatalism’, set for release September 01.

The band confirmed last week they were going ahead with the album’s release, writing in a statement:

“After much consideration, in the face of everything we are dealing with, we have decided to proceed with our upcoming plans.

“This is the last set of complete songs that we wrote together with Ryan and though the circumstances of their release are now framed by this tragedy, the meaning of the songs and the love we have for them has not changed.

“We are incredibly proud of this record and looking forward to sharing it with you, and now more than ever we hope that you will connect with it.”

We now have another indication of what the record will hold via its latest offering, the ferocious single ‘Nightmare’ – have a listen and a watch via its video below.

Discussing how the track pays tribute to Ryan, as well as the wider themes of the music video, which was created with Ben Wrigley (aka Third Eye Visuals), Polaris drummer and lyricist Daniel Furnari has said:

“This was the second of three music videos we filmed with Ryan earlier this year.

“It has been a challenging and very emotional task to complete these videos in light of what has happened, but after careful discussion with his family we collectively felt that we wanted to share with the world the final things that Ryan created with us.

“We will proudly cherish the memories of him contained in this footage, and hope you will too.”
