The Gaslight Anthem Release New Single ‘Little Fires’ Featuring PUP’s Stefan Babcock

The Gaslight Anthem have shared ‘Little Fires’, the third single from their upcoming sixth studio album.

The Gaslight Anthem

The band’s forthcoming ‘History Books’ LP, set for release October 27, will be the band’s first in over nine years, as the follow-up to 2014’s ‘Get Hurt’ album.

The album’s latest single, ‘Little Fires’, is one of honest punk reflections and features guest vocals from PUP frontman Stefan Babcock.

Babcock isn’t the only one to lend his vocals to the band of late: the forthcoming album’s recently released title track features none other than Bruce Springsteen

Speaking of the new tune, The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon has described the meaning of the new tune, and how its themes sit in the forthcoming record as a whole, saying:

“‘Little Fires’ is like the opposite end of the spectrum from the frustration you feel in ‘History Books’.

“It’s an empowerment song, about refusing to play along with the kind of people who always seem to be throwing a grenade into the room for no particular reason.”

‘History Books’ has seen The Gaslight Anthem work with acclaimed producer and engineer Peter Katis, whose prior credits include The National, Interpol and Death Cab for Cutie, to name a few.
