Fresh from the recent release of their self-titled album, The Maine have shared a new version of their track ‘Thoughts I Have While Lying In Bed’, featuring Nick Santino of Beach Weather.
‘The Maine’ LP arrived at the beginning of August and quickly included some new fan favourites, including ‘Blame’ and ‘How To Exit A Room’.
‘Thoughts I Have While Lying Bed’ has also proved to be one, recently surpassing a million streams on Spotify – and it’s now been given a revamp, featuring Beach Weather frontman Nick Santino.

Discussing the new version of the song, The Maine’s John O’Callaghan has shared:
“It’s not often that I get to hear someone else sing on a tune of ours. It’s even less frequent to hear someone I’ve known for 17 years on that same tune. I’m forever a fan of Nick and his voice and now it makes it 50% less weird to listen to the thoughts I have.
Santino himself, meanwhile, added:
“I’ve known The Maine since before Jared was actually a member of the band. The first time I met John we recorded an auto-tuned remix version of some old Maine song in Pats mom’s house, I wonder if that song exists somewhere?
“Anyways… It’s been 16 years since we did that together so when John asked if I wanted to do it again of course I jumped on board. So I wrote down some lyrics about smoking weed, intrusive thoughts and anxiety, per usual. Enjoy our version of ‘thoughts i have while lying in bed’!”

The Maine are currently on the road headlining ‘The Sweet Sixteen Tour’, which kicked-off in San Diego, playing their latest tunes as well as album deep cuts and their best-known hits.
And they’ll also be hitting the road this spring, supporting Fall Out Boy on a handful of dates of the upcoming ‘So Much For (2our) Dust’ tour.
