Yellowcard return with their brand-new EP ‘Childhood Eyes’, with features from Pierce The Veil and Dashboard Confessional.

It might be five tracks long, but the new project packs a punch, kicking-off with the rousing ‘Three Minutes More’ opener which involves Pierce The Veil.

Yellowcard had billed the new EP as being the “sound that fans know and love in the best possible way” – and they’re definitely not wrong.

Their latest project arrives 20 years after the release of their seminal ‘Ocean Avenue’ album.

They’ve since had their inevitable highs and lows, all of which is explored in Rock Sound’s latest ‘Album Story’ feature with the band, and which is packed into the sense of release and contemplation on ‘Childhood Eyes’.

As well as the ricocheting ‘Hiding In The Light’ and cathartic ‘Honest From The Jump’, the project ends with the beautiful, pared-back ‘The Places We’ll Go’, which features Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional.

On working with Chris, frontman William Ryan Key told us “I knew it was going to be this big anthem-esque acoustic track, so I knew Chris was the guy. When he comes in on that last chorus and you hear that guttural Dashboard vocal, it’s so cool. Having him on a song that I wrote is awesome.”
