The new tune ‘Hyper Trophy’ is a much more anthemic affair than the LP’s lead single ‘If You’re Lonely’, which arrived last month.

Both tracks give us a flavour of what’s in-store for the full ‘Calling The Dogs’ record which lands October 06.

‘Hyper Trophy’ also arrives with its own music video, which sees the band running through the desert – have a watch and a listen below.

Describing the new single, the band’s lead singer Mat Kerekes has explained:

“Sometimes, though you are trying hard to accomplish something, it can’t be done. This song is about a relentless pursuit of an objective, but still failing – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

“If you find something you love and pour everything you have into that, I find that admirable regardless of the outcome.”

Citizen recently announced a headline tour in February 2024 in support of the new record, which will include four special headline shows in the UK with support from Drug Church.
