ERRA’s eagerly-awaited album ‘Cure’ has arrived today, along with a video for its track ‘Slow Sour Bleed’.
The metalcore progressive’s sixth album, ‘Cure’ is an almighty 12-track offering that comes via UNFD.
Speaking to Rock Sound recently about the new record – which follows their 2021 self-titled LP – and where the band stands at present, vocalist JT Cavey shared:
“The biggest thing we have taken in is that we are blessed to be able to do our own thing.
“We have always been hyper-focused on ourselves within self-improvement and creating stuff that we like, but now we are lucky to have cultivated a fanbase that just trusts us.
“We’ve grown substantially post-COVID, and I can’t explain why things like that have happened, but we are grateful. We can continue to be ourselves while making the things we have always been working on. It’s really nice.”
No more is that present than on the album’s extravagant and typically forward-thinking fifth track, ‘Slow Sour Bleed’, which arrives with an official video – have a watch and a listen below.
Speaking specifically about this single, guitarist Jesse Cash has added:
“This song scratches an itch of influence that we haven’t had the courage to explore in the past.”
“We covered ‘Heresy’ a few years ago and it was so fun to listen to, so we wanted to do an original song in the spirit of Nine Inch Nails.”
