After the huge news last week that we’ll soon be getting a brand-new Green Day album, the pop-punk trio have now announced the surprise show taking place later this week.

Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool will be playing at the Bataclan Theatre this weekend, where they’re likely to run through a number of favourites, as well as some new material.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow 31 October, at 10am CET, and can be found via this link

Announcing the news on their socials, the band wrote:

“SURPRISE! We decided to hop on a plane and play a show in Paris. See you this Saturday, 4th November, at Bataclan!!!”

At their intimate show before When We Were Young Festival earlier this month, they gave a live debut to their ‘The American Dream Is Killing Me’ single, so who knows what they’ll bring to Paris now their ‘Saviours’ album has been confirmed.

At the same show, the band also announced that they’ll be touring the US next year with The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas.

We recently asked pop-punk bands at When We Were Young Festival 2023 to pick the best Green Day song of all time. Find out what Simple Plan, New Found Glory, Rise Against, Pierce The Veil, Sum 41, Waterparks, Michelle Branch, The Offspring, Knuckle Puck had to say.
