Green Day Tease ‘Dookie’ 30th Anniversary Plans

Green Day have shared a teasing post to do with the 30th anniversary plans for their iconic third studio album ‘Dookie’.

The exact 30th birthday for Green Day’s seminal album ‘Dookie’ – February 01, 2024 – might seem like a way off, but the pop-punk legends are already teasing the birthday celebrations.

Taking to their socials, the band have shared an old image of them in the studio, twiddling with a tape deck.

Okay, so it’s a fairly vague teaser but coupled with the #Dookie30 message, it shows the pop-punk legends are already looking ahead to the big day.

See the post for yourself below.

We haven’t had masses in the way of new music from Green Day recently.

Although Billie Joe Armstrong and co. did share the 25th anniversary reissue of ‘Nimrod’ at the start of the year and recently gave new track ‘1981’ its live debut recently, we’re all certainly pining for a bit more.

Perhaps these forthcoming 30th anniversary plans, which have just been teased, might well lead to some entirely new tunes. We live in hope.
