Lake Malice Share ‘Power Game’ Music Video And Announce UK Tour

Lake Malice have shared the music video for their recent ‘Power Game’ single, and announced details of a forthcoming UK tour.

The single featured on the band’s recently released debut EP, ‘Post-Genesis’.

Speaking of the recent track and what it means, the Lake Malice duo of Alice Guala and Blake Cornwall have said:

“‘Power Game’ explores the theme of dealing with people who abuse their position of power.

“The dark and uneasy visuals of the music video empathise with the feelings of being lost and trapped when dealing with narcissistic and manipulative behaviour.

“With references to Immanuel Kant’s ‘moral laws’, the lyrics of the track explore the blurred line between right and wrong, in a setting where one individual tries to take control over people by gaslighting them. They then have to deal with the consequences of their own actions.”

As well as the new video, Lake Malice, have also announced details of a UK tour, set to take place throughout March next year.

The tour will encompass 12 dates, including Camden’s Underworld, Bournemouth’s Anvil and Birmingham’s Asylum 2.

This year has already seen them hit the road with aplomb, touring with the likes of As Everything Unfolds, Bloodywood, Skindred, Vukovi, Vended and Enter Shikari, and playing sets at the likes of The Great Escape, Download and 2000trees.

Their touring efforts and impressive release slate, which has seen them make an impression for their blend of hyperpop and metal, also saw them gain two nominations at this year’s Heavy Music Awards: ‘Best UK Breakthrough Artist’ and ‘Best Breakthrough Live Artist’.
