Pure Noise Records have released the latest tracks from their ‘Dead Formats Volume 2’ compilation.
The 15-track project sees acts from the Pure Noise roster taking on classic songs, and has so far featured the likes of Koyo, Knuckle Puck and Less Than Jake.
And now, the project has shared its latest round of acts, which sees The Early November reworking ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’ by New Order; Mint Green take on Incubus classic ‘Drive’ and Youth Fountain covering Less Than Jake’s ‘Look What Happened’.
The full ‘Dead Formats Volume 2’ record arrives September 05 and includes covers of tracks from Elton John, The Kinks and Taking Back Sunday.
The original concept for the project was originally to curate a way for fans to discover new, like-minded bands, the same way compilations such as Atticus’ ‘…Dragging The Lake’ or the ‘Vans Warped Tour Compilations’ did in the 90’s and 2000’s.
Volume 1 of the ‘Dead Formats’ compilation arrived last year.
