Jack Black and Kyle Gass, aka Tenacious D, aka the best band in the world, have announced the support acts for their ‘Spicy Meatball’ tour next year.
The tour will see the freewheeling duo play to some seismic venues in 2024, including Dublin’s 3Arena and Manchester’s AO Arena.
And now it’s been announced they’ll be joined by progressive metal band Crusade and comedian and musician Dave Hill – the latter of whom also joined the band for the 2023 U.S. leg of their tour.
Next year’s headline run of dates will follow the comic duo’s sold-out UK and European arena tour this summer, which included a one-off show at London’s O2 in June.
In May, Tenacious D released their first original track in five years: the banjo-heavy ‘Video Games’.
One “Anonymous Rock Historian” has reportedly said of the forthcoming tour:
“It’s no joke. Tenacious D is the best band in the world and in the Spicy Meatball Tour they are at the peak of their powers.
“Better than the Beatles…better than the Stones…even better than Taylor Swift. And they have PYRO!!! Do not miss the spicy meatball…it’s D- licious!!!”
