Watch: Dave Grohl, Shane Hawkins And Chad Smith Play Rock Classics At Pizza Bar

Dave Grohl, Shane Hawkins and Chad Smith played a number of rock classics at California’s Rock N Roll Pizza Bar – have a watch of the intimate concert.

The gig was part of a set by covers band Chevy Metal, which was formed by the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

At this special, star-studded show, Grohl was first joined by Hawkins’ son, Shane, who has previously played with the Foos at the tribute concert to his late father held at London’s Wembley Stadium last year.

Not only were the covers band later joined by Jane’s Addiction’s Stephen Perkins, but by Red Hot Chilli Peppers drummer Chad Smith.

The 17-track set included some classics, beginning with a cover of The Police’s ‘Next To You’ and ending with AC/DC’s ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap’ via the likes of tracks from The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Mötley Crüe.
