Yours Truly Announce New Album ‘Toxic’

Yours Truly have shared details of their brand-new album ‘Toxic’, which is set to land August 16 via UNFD.

The Aussie trio’s ten-track project has been heralded by today’s release of new single ‘Sour’, which sees vocalist Mikaila Delgado show her dynamism once more and follows recent track ‘Call My Name’.

Speaking of the new single and the environment in which it was created, Delgado explains:

“‘Sour’ was written during a session after I was feeling extremely burnt out.

“We had come off extensive touring and quite a turbulent time not only for the band but personally as well. I was just feeling so bitter towards everything and trying to force writing when it just wasn’t naturally flowing made me so angry.

“We got to a stage as a band where we had a lot of people in our ear telling us what to do and how they thought we should do it.

“I just thought “fuck this, this is our fucking band, I’m going to do what I want!”

The band’s new album ‘Toxic’ will mark the follow-up to their 2022 ‘is this what i look like?’ EP, which received a lo-fi reworking.

Having enjoyed their first-ever UK headline tour last year, the band are set to return overseas later this year, with an appearance at Reading & Leeds Festival (where Blink-182 are among the headliners).
