2000trees Festival Announces The Gaslight Anthem As First Mainstage Headliner For 2024

2000trees Festival has announced The Gaslight Anthem as its first headline act for 2024, with the band set to take to the stage on the Thursday (July 11) of next year’s event.

The news comes as part of a newly-announced UK/EU headline tour from the band, which will kick-off in March in Glasgow before shows that include Sheffield, Manchester, Wolverhampton and two nights at London’s Roundhouse.

The day before their 2000trees appearance, they’ll also be doing a warm up show at Nottingham Rock City, on July 10.

And if that wasn’t enough incredible news about The Gaslight Anthem, the band have today shared the latest single from their forthcoming ‘History Books’ album, which will be their first in over nine years and arrives later this month, October 27.

You can have a listen to ‘Autumn’ via its visualiser below.

The new track follows the release of previous singles ‘Positive Charge’, the ‘History Books’ LP’s title track and ‘Little Fires’, featuring PUP frontman Stefan Babcock.

Described as being written in a serene state of mind, the band’s frontman Brian Fallon has explained:

“I wrote that song on a really beautiful fall day, looking out the window and thinking, ‘How many days like this do we get to see?

“So much of life is just trying to get by, but every now and then you have those moments where you can really feel grateful for the small things.”

No doubt they’ll be playing this blissful new tune on their run of headline shows next year, where they’ll also be supported by singer-songwriter Emily Wolfe.
