The post hardcore band’s new record is set to arrive April 19 via Pure Noise Records, and is set to feature previous singles such as ‘Rhythm and Rapture’ (featuring nothing, nowhere) and ‘To The Dance Floor For Shelter’ (featuring Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante).

Describing the meaning and intent of the band’s latest track, SeeYouSpaceCowboy frontwoman Connie Sgarossa has shared:

“This is a song that deals with what it means to be the dirty little secret in an affair and trying to come to terms with that notion while also being critical and wishing to be more.

“It’s a song that really pushes through in a frantic but melodic way to me.”

‘Coup De Grâce’ was recorded by Matt Squire at Mixwave Studios, it will mark the band’s third album and the follow-up to 2021’s The Romance Of Affliction LP.

Speaking about project as a whole, Sgarbossa explains further:

“The record started as a visual idea, because when it came to lyrics, I didn’t know what the fuck to write at first.

“I’m not a drug addict junkie anymore, so I’m not going to write another album like ‘The Romance Of Affliction’ – I can’t, and I don’t want to. So my mind wandered to things that I love, like Frank Miller’s Sin City graphic novels, where there are all these stories interlaced within a city.”

“That led me to think about noir and neo-noir, and then pulp comics and novels from the ’40s and ’50s, which started to make it all come together lyrically and thematically, where each different song can be a different tale of the city.”
