You Me At Six Cancel US Tour

You Me At Six have announced the cancellation of their US tour, citing “personal reasons”.

The Weybridge outfit had been set to commence their tour of the States next month but took to social media yesterday (August 14) to announce it’s no longer going ahead.

Writing on their socials, the band have said:

“We regret to announce that our tour of the US due to start next month is cancelled due to personal reasons.

“We’re sorry to all our American Sixers who have tickets. We really do love you and we will try to make it up to you.”

The band also confirmed that refunds are now available to anyone who purchased a ticket.

Mothica and Wolf & Bear had been lined-up to support them throughout the September and October run of shows.

Whilst the band’s full statement didn’t give much by way of detail, frontman Josh Franceschi has also added on Instagram:

“To everyone leaving comments of love and care, appreciate your understanding. We value your support so much. Additionally, totally empathise with those of you who are disappointed & frustrated.

“I totally get it, letting down the most important aspect to our band is not something we take lightly. I’m not going to divulge further, as the statement is the statement. But as a band we only truly care about one thing, and that’s our fans.

“For 18 years we’ve put everyone ahead of ourselves. With zero regret and zero intention to ever deviate from that. However, times have changed & we now understand how imperative it is for us to put ourselves first. Until we meet again, it’s all love.”

You Me At Six’s US now-cancelled tour would have been their first in the country since 2019 and was set to promote the band’s latest album ‘Truth Decay’ – which arrived in January this year following a couple of weeks’ postponement due to vinyl production issues.

‘Truth Decay’ peaked at No.4 on the UK chart and includes the singles ‘heartLESS’ and ‘No Future? Yeah Right’ with Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds.

More recently, You Me At Six announced a new live EP, ‘Truth Decay – Live From Alexandra Palace’, set for release August 18.
